Twenty-two numbered sections for Australian players

Arranged so you can find one answer without reading everything above it. Sections 9 and 12 are the two most commonly missed.

Terms and Conditions for Australian Players

Most people arrive at a terms page looking for one answer: a withdrawal limit, a bonus condition, whether a second account is allowed. This document is arranged so you can find that answer without reading everything above it. Sections are numbered, each covers one subject, and figures that change over time are pointed to where they are actually published rather than copied here where they would quietly go out of date.

Where a rule works against the player, it is stated in the open. The commission on unplayed deposits in section 9 and the wagering exclusions in section 12 are the two most commonly missed, and neither is buried.

1. What These Terms Govern

These terms apply to this website and to the LEON Casino account you access through it, covering registration and account maintenance, deposits and withdrawals, gameplay across casino and sports products, bonuses and promotions, verification, and the responsible gambling controls attached to the account.

They sit alongside two other documents: the privacy policy, which governs personal information, and the cookie policy, which governs what is stored on your device. Individual promotions carry their own conditions as well. Where a promotion's specific terms differ from these general ones, the promotion's terms apply to that promotion only.

2. Acceptance and Changes

Opening an account means accepting these terms. There is no separate signature and no ceremony: registration is the acceptance.

Terms change, because payment rules, licence conditions and product features change. Updates are published on this page with a revised effective date, and material changes are notified in the account. Continuing to play after an update takes effect counts as accepting the revised version. If a change does not suit you, the response available is to stop playing and withdraw your balance, subject to verification and any bonus conditions still running.

3. One Account Per Player

One account per person, per household, per device and per payment method. This is enforced rather than merely stated.

Duplicate accounts, when identified, are closed. Bonuses claimed through them are void, and winnings derived from those bonuses can be forfeited. Where duplicates were opened to abuse promotions, the operator may retain amounts won that way while returning the player's own net deposits. If you have lost access to an older account, the correct move is to contact support and have it recovered, not to open a second one.

4. Verification

Every account is verified before a first withdrawal, and sometimes earlier if an automated check flags something. The requirement comes from anti-money-laundering obligations attached to the operating licence, not from a preference of the operator.

Standard documents are a government-issued photo ID (an Australian driver licence or a passport), proof of address, and confirmation of the payment method used. Additional documents, including proof of source of funds, may be requested for larger transactions or where a check raises a question. Documents must be legible, unedited and current.

Full verification unlocks withdrawals, raises the transaction ceilings applied to unverified accounts, and settles the account's identity so later payouts are not re-checked from scratch. An account that fails verification, or whose holder declines to complete it, cannot withdraw.

5. Age Restriction

The platform is for adults aged 18 and over. Registering while under 18 is a breach of these terms regardless of what was entered at sign-up, and age is confirmed during verification rather than assumed.

If an account holder is found to be under 18, the account is suspended immediately, all bets and winnings are void, and net deposits are returned through the original payment method once identity is established. No bonus, no winnings and no accumulated loyalty benefit survives that finding.

6. Dormant Accounts

An account with no sign-in and no transaction for an extended period is treated as dormant. Dormancy is an administrative state, not a penalty: the account is not closed, the balance is not confiscated, and it is not drained by charges.

Reactivating it means signing in again, and, where required, refreshing verification documents that have expired since your last visit. Verification must be current before a withdrawal is processed, so a player returning after a long absence should expect to upload a document again before the money moves.

7. Deposits and Withdrawals

Deposits and withdrawals for Australian players run through Visa, Mastercard and Skrill, with balances held in Australian dollars. Deposits are credited to the balance once the payment provider confirms them.

Minimum and maximum amounts vary by method and are displayed in the cashier when you are signed in. Those on-site figures govern; a number quoted on a third-party review page does not. Withdrawals are returned to the method used to deposit wherever the provider allows it, which is a standard anti-money-laundering requirement rather than a restriction chosen here. Processing time depends on the method and on verification being complete, and any provider-side fees are shown before you confirm a transaction.

8. Withdrawal Limits and Tiers

Withdrawal capacity is tiered, and the tier is a function of your cumulative deposit history rather than of a subscription or a loyalty level bought separately. As total deposits accumulate, the weekly and monthly withdrawal ceilings applied to the account rise with them.

The specific ceilings attached to each tier, and the tier boundaries themselves, are published in the operator's full terms and in your account, because they are reviewed periodically. Where a limit is expressed in a currency other than Australian dollars, it is converted at the exchange rate the operator applies at the time of the transaction, which means the dollar figure you see can move slightly with the rate. Nothing in this section prevents a payout above a tier ceiling from being released across successive periods.

9. Commission on Deposits Withdrawn Without Play

This clause is unusual, so it gets its own section rather than a footnote. Where a deposit is withdrawn without meaningful gaming activity behind it, the operator's published terms allow a commission, set at 5%, to be withheld from the amount returned.

The reason is that a casino account used purely to move money in and straight back out again carries payment costs and anti-money-laundering exposure without any gameplay. What counts as insufficient activity is defined in the operator's terms, and for the sportsbook it turns on bets placed below a stated minimum odds threshold, since a bet at very short odds moves money without meaningfully risking it. The current threshold and the exact definition are set out in the operator's full terms.

The practical takeaway: if you deposit, play, and then withdraw, this clause does not touch you. If you deposit and change your mind before playing, ask support before requesting the withdrawal.

10. Two Bonus Systems

Sports bonuses and casino bonuses run on separate logic. They have different qualifying conditions, different wagering mechanics and different expiry rules, and holding one does not imply anything about the other.

Do not assume a rule you learned from a casino promotion applies to a sports one. Sports offers in particular vary campaign to campaign in their multipliers, qualifying odds and duration, so the terms attached to the specific promotion are the ones that count each time you opt in.

11. Free Bets

A Free Bet is placed as a single stake on one selection. It cannot be divided across several bets, and it cannot be partially used and partially saved.

If the bet wins, the amount credited is the return minus the Free Bet stake, because the stake itself was never your money. A Free Bet of a given size at even odds therefore returns that size in winnings rather than double it. If the bet loses, nothing is deducted from your cash balance. Free Bets have an expiry, and an unused one expires without replacement.

12. Wagering Contribution by Game Type

A wagering requirement is not cleared at the same speed by every game. Contribution rates differ by category, and the shape is consistent across the industry even though the exact percentages differ by promotion:

  • Pokies and slots contribute the most, and for most casino bonuses they are the intended route to clearing a requirement.
  • Live casino, roulette, blackjack and other table games contribute at a substantially reduced rate, and under some promotions not at all.
  • Video poker is typically reduced as well, because optimal play carries a low house edge.
  • Excluded titles contribute nothing. Every casino maintains a list of games that do not count toward wagering, often high-return or feature-buy titles, and stakes placed on them while a bonus is active can also breach the bonus terms.

The exact contribution percentages and the excluded-game list for any given offer are published with that offer. Check them before you start wagering rather than after, because a session spent on a game contributing at a reduced rate cannot be recalculated later.

13. How a Wagering Requirement Is Calculated

A wagering requirement is expressed as a multiplier applied to the bonus amount, or in some promotions to the bonus plus the qualifying deposit. The multiplier tells you how much total stake must pass through eligible games before bonus funds convert into withdrawable balance.

Take an illustrative example rather than a live one, since multipliers vary by campaign. Suppose a bonus of A$200 carries a 30x requirement on the bonus amount. Thirty times A$200 is A$6,000 in total stakes on games that contribute at 100%. If you instead play a category contributing at 10%, a A$10 stake counts as A$1 toward that total, and the same A$6,000 target now needs ten times the turnover. This is why section 12 matters more than it looks.

The multiplier that applies to you, and whether it attaches to the bonus alone or to bonus plus deposit, is stated in the terms of the promotion you accepted.

14. Maximum Bet While Wagering

A maximum stake per bet or per spin applies while bonus funds are being wagered. It exists to stop a bonus being turned over in a handful of large bets, and it is enforced automatically in most games and retrospectively in the rest.

Exceeding the cap can void the bonus and any winnings derived from it, even where a game allowed the bet to be placed. The applicable figure is shown in the terms of the promotion, and it is the single most common reason a cleared bonus is later reversed.

15. Expiry and Forfeiture

Bonuses run on a clock. A bonus not claimed within its stated window expires, a wagering requirement not completed within its stated period expires with the bonus funds attached to it, and remaining bonus balance is forfeited once that period closes.

Deadlines differ between promotions, and the countdown usually starts when the bonus is credited rather than when you next sign in. Before opting into any offer, check when it expires and whether the timing suits how often you actually play. An offer you cannot realistically wager in time is worth declining.

16. Bonus Eligibility and Anti-Abuse

Bonus eligibility is assessed per account, per person, per household, per email address, per payment method and per IP address. Where several accounts share any of these, promotional eligibility can be restricted to one of them.

Other patterns treated as abuse include coordinated low-risk betting designed to clear wagering without exposure, opting into an offer with the intention of withdrawing before the conditions are met, and using a payment method belonging to someone else. Where abuse is established, bonuses are removed, related winnings are void, and the account may be restricted. Ordinary play, including a large win, is not abuse, and nothing in this section allows a legitimate win to be withheld.

17. Responsible Gambling Controls on the Account

Every account carries controls that you set yourself, from the responsible gambling area of account settings:

  • Deposit limits, applied per day, per week or per month, blocking further deposits once reached.
  • Wagering limits, capping total stakes over the period you choose.
  • Session limits and reality checks, ending a sitting at a set duration and prompting you during play.
  • Temporary self-exclusion, closing the account to play for a period you choose. Once set, a temporary exclusion cannot be lifted early, including by support, which is deliberate.
  • Permanent self-exclusion, closing the account for good. This is irreversible, with no cooling-off and no reinstatement on request.

Lowering a limit takes effect immediately. Raising or removing one passes through a cooling-off period first. Any balance held at the point of exclusion is returned to you subject to normal verification.

18. Independent Support

Self-assessment quizzes published by independent gambling support organisations are a better gauge of your own play than anything an operator could write, precisely because nobody involved has an interest in the answer.

In Australia, Gambling Help Online at gamblinghelponline.org.au provides free and confidential support 24 hours a day, seven days a week, for players and for family members, through online chat and email counselling. Independent device-level blocking software and bank-level gambling blocks are available as well. Our responsible gambling page sets out the full picture, and none of it is presented as an afterthought.

19. Operator and Licence

The platform is operated by Bluewave Interactive N.V. . under licence № OGL/2024/1161/0454, issued by Curaçao Gaming Authority. The LEON brand has been operating since 2008.

That licence is the regulatory basis for the service. It is not an Australian permit and is not presented as one: the Interactive Gambling Act 2001 (Cth) does not provide for licensing online casino play in Australia, so no operator offering it holds a local authorisation. Anyone claiming otherwise is misdescribing the position. Licence identifiers appear in the site footer for independent checking.

20. Governing Law and Language

The agreement between you and the operator is governed by the law of the jurisdiction in which the operating licence is issued, and disputes not settled through the process in section 21 fall to be determined there.

These terms are published in several languages. Where a translation differs from the English version, the English text prevails, since it is the version the operator maintains and the one its licence conditions attach to.

21. Complaints and Disputes

Complaints start with support, and most end there. Raise the matter through live chat or the support address published on the site, with the account email and any transaction reference to hand.

General complaints are acknowledged on receipt and answered within a few business days. Disputes over a specific game round take longer, because the round has to be pulled from the game provider's logs, and the provider's record is decisive on what the game did. Account disputes involving verification or payments run to a similar timescale, driven by the checks required.

If the outcome does not resolve the matter, escalate. The path runs to the operator's complaints team as a formal second stage, then to the independent alternative dispute resolution provider named in the operator's full terms, and finally to the Curaçao licensing authority that issued the licence in section 19. A regulator can act against a licensee; that is what makes the escalation real rather than decorative. Note the honest limitation: an Australian regulator is not part of this path, because the service is not licensed in this country, and that is a trade-off worth understanding before you deposit.

22. Contact

For anything in this document, use live chat while signed in to your account, or the support address published in the site footer. Have your registered email address ready, quote the section number you are asking about, and you will get a faster and more specific answer than a general enquiry produces.
